During the discussion on January 27, Huddlestone answered questions and debated with Year 5 pupils from in front of a webcam at Spurs’ Chigwell training ground.
The debate, a partnership between Haringey Council and football equality group Kick It Out, was one of a number of events organised by the council to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
Deputy headteacher Oweda Harrison said: “Prior to the virtual visit the children researched Tom Huddlestone and devised their own questions. They really enjoyed having that engagement with the footballer.
“They covered his thoughts on the Holocaust and his thoughts on bullying.”
Danny Lynch, head of communications at Kick It Out, said: “We were able to mobilise one of our ambassadors in Tom, to give some of his time to talk about the challenges he has faced to get where he is today.
“It is something [the children] are going to remember forever. For a very short period of his time, it is going to last a long time with them.”
Details have been released this evening of how to get your share of 4,000 tickets to the exclusive Olympic Torch Relay evening celebration at Alexandra Palace in July.
