KINKS legendary frontman Ray Davies has asked the Crouch End Festival Chorus once again to contribute vocals to his new material.

Mr Davies has asked Chorus conductor David Temple if his singers can perform for a couple of tracks on his new album.

David Temple said he was pleased to help out Ray, who lives in Highgate - especially as he was a great fan of The Kinks in the 1960s.

They first collaborated in 1998 when Ray called David to ask some advice on writing a choral piece for the Norwich and Norfolk Festival.

Mr Temple said: "We collaborated closely over the next four or five months. We have remained in touch ever since, usually to have the odd meal or drink in Highgate.

"About three years ago he asked if I could find some backing singers from Crouch End Festival Chorus to do a track on his first solo album.

"Although the track did not make it on to the first album, he has now asked if singers from the chorus will sing on a couple of tracks for his next album.
