A YET to be published book has embarked on an epic trip across the planet travelling with jetsetters to five continents.

I Am, a candid expose of writer Alexander Jackman's thoughts, has so far been taken to 25 countries by random travellers - including the United States, Peru, South America, the Maldives, Singapore and Amsterdam.

The journey began by accident when the 30-year-old writer, who lives in Lightfoot Road, Hornsey, gave an early copy to a friend going to Tanzania.

Mr Jackman said: "I didn't see him until he returned from Tanzania with photographs of the book in weird and wonderful places.

"That sparked the idea and I decided to start to offer the book as a travel companion as a way of obtaining feedback."

He has so far received an "overwhelming" 350 photographs of the book from jetsetters who have tucked it into their suitcases or backpacks.

I Am is released on April 24 and is available on pre-order from Prospero's Books in The Broadway, Crouch End.
