Stars come out for charity cricket match
A CONSTELLATION of stars will go head to head in a Crouch End cricket match for charity.
The renowned Bunbury XI will take on a North Middlesex Cricket Club Celebrity XI at the Park Road ground on Sunday, September 17.
Names on the Bunbury team sheet include former England cricketer turned broadcaster Phil Tufnell, John Major's son James, and actor Damian Lewis, fresh from ITV's Bank Holiday celebrity golf extravaganza.
The home side is set to feature former Ireland captain turned commentator Keith Wood, former Arsenal footballer Martin Keown and javelin legend Steve Backley.
EastEnders favourite Minty - otherwise known as Crouch End's Cliff Parisi - will be guest umpire for the match.
Between two and four thousand people are expected to turn out.
Attractions will include a food village, steel band, games and a raffle featuring some star prizes such as a bat signed by Andrew Flintoff and championship boxing tickets from promoter Frank Maloney, another participant.
Proceeds will go to the hospital appeal and the London Schools Cricket Association.
Entry is £3 on the gates, which open from 11am. The match starts at 1.30pm.
